Supervisor Knight reminded the Commissioners that three
years ago, a youth/teen forum was held and a survey was completed by the
participants. Many good ideas and suggestions came out of this forum and
survey, including a request to form a youth advisory council. She noted that
the City Council is very youth-oriented and wants youth input on different
matters at a higher level, such as a youth advisory council. She also
mentioned that she brought this proposal to the City's Child Care Advisory
Committee and they have given it their support.
