They also received a notice <br />regarding the aerobics program at Red Morton Center and were advised that <br />Superintendent Centeno is handling inquiries about the program. <br /> <br />ITEM 1- UPDATE ON DOGS IN THE PARK ISSUE <br /> <br />Acting Superintendent Gibbons reviewed an inquiry the department received <br />on the World Wide Web regarding dogs in the parks from resident Scott <br />Neely and a copy of Superintendent Gibbons's response. The Commissioners <br />discussed an article by P. Terry Anderlini in the Redwood Shores "Pilot" <br />newsletter asking people to petition the City to place a dog park in a Redwood <br />Shores park. Commissioner Slusser said after reading the article, he visited <br />all the Red wood Shores parks for a possible dog park site and could not find a <br />suitable site. He noted all Redwood Shores parks back up to residences and he <br />did not believe that the Commission would be successful in getting these <br />neighbors to agree to have a dog park so near their homes. He also found no <br />City owned property in Redwood Shores available for a dog park. <br />Commissioner Slusser stated he will be attending the Redwood Shores <br />Homeowner's Association meeting tomorrow evening and will ask if they <br /> <br />
