<br />~ .. <br />,-.. - '1". .. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />53, ~ <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11,1987 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson, Commissioners Buchan, <br />Kingsford-Smith, Mortensen, Nordness and <br />Swope <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />GUESTS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Tom Jordan, Senior Affairs Commission <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: <br /> <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Director Griffiths, Park and Recreation <br />Superintendent Hartman and Secretary Frei <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />minutes of February 11, 1987 were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />ITEM I - 50TH ANNIVERSARY - JUDGE FOR ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW MAY 15 <br /> <br />The Arts & Crafts Show will be held on May 15 in Red Morton Community <br />Park and the Sequoia Arts Group has requested that one of the Park <br />and Recreation Commissioners serve as a judge. Commissioner Buchan <br />volunteered. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - HERITAGE TREE ORDINANCE REPORT <br /> <br />A report was drafted by Commissioner Swope explaining the <br />Commissioners' feelings on the heritiage tree ordinance and the <br />situation at 111 Hilltop Drive. All of the Commissioners signed the <br />letter which will be submitted to City Council along with the staff <br />report when Council makes a decision on the Gates/Naverez appeal. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - RED MORTON PARKING LOT MEETING <br /> <br />Chairman Tom Jordan of the Senior Affairs Commission expressed his <br />appreciation of the cooperation of the Commissions in working out the <br />differences surrounding the parki.ng lot project and felt that much <br />was accomplished at the joint meeting. A solution was arrived at <br />which all parties seem to accept. Mr. Jordan wanted the Park and <br />Recreation Commission to know that the Senior Affairs Commission did <br />not intend to further pursue additional parking. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - PARK TOUR <br /> <br />The annual City Council/Park and Recreation Commissioners Park Tour <br />will be April 25, 1987 at 9:00 a.m. and a short Commission meeting <br />will be held before at 8:15 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />,,:1 <br /> <br />
