The
minutes of the September 14 and October 12 meetings were approved as
mailed.

ITEM 1 - REDWOOD SHORES PARKS MASTERPLAN

Director Griffiths said that in the distant future the Redwood
Shores Parks Masterplan called for an additional 30 acres. Redwood
Shores, Inc. is in the process of developing areas G and F.
Additional parkland would be dedicated to the city as development
proceeds.

The two alternate designs for the Marlin Park extension were
displayed. Discussion revolved around the changes requested by
Shores residents that were incorporated into the new designs.
Limited parking (on street only) and additional tennis courts were
among these changes. Alternative #1 showed two tennis courts and
alternative #2 showed 4 tennis courts. Commissioner Slusser
questioned the need for this as Redwood Shores currently has four
courts. The two new designs will be published in the December issue
of the "Pilot" and again resident comments are encouraged.

ITEM 2 - DICKEY STREET NO PARKING SIGNS

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nessel explained to the Commission the many
problems that occur on Dickey Street late at night. Mr. Nessel said
that he regularly phones the Police Department to respond to
"partiers" and disturbances. The draft report to Council prepared
by the Traffic Division listed several alternatives, although the
recommended alternative is to post "No Parking" signs on" the east
side of the street and uNo Parking from 10 p.m. to 6 a'.m. daily,
including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays" signs on the west side of
the street.
