Superintendent Chris Beth, Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairperson Matt Walsh at 7:30pm in Room 1 of the Community <br />Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />,/ j . <br />,'. <br /> <br />Commissioner Joseph requested corrections be made to the May minutes: <br />1.) Under Approval of Minutes, Chairperson Walsh requested' the <br />correction to the March minutes, not Commissioner Joseph. <br />2.) Under Item 6, Page 2, fourth paragraph, fourth sentence should read: <br />"Superintendent Hover felt we should make sure that cost recovery at <br />least recovers our costs". <br />The May minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />CORRESPON DENCE <br /> <br />There was no, correspondence. <br /> <br />The following items were taken out of order: <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - HERITAGE TREE <br /> <br />" , <br />, . <br /> <br />Public Works Superintendent Gordon Mann spoke about the two page <br />summary provided to the Commissioners regarding updating the City's <br />Heritage Tree ordinance. He gave the history of the ordinance which began <br />in 1970 and mentioned that new standards were adopted in 2001. He also <br />explained the process for pruning or removing a heritage tree. Currently, <br />Code enforcement staff and building inspectors are helping to enforce the <br />ordinance. Superintendent Mann noted he would like to change the wording <br /> <br /> <br />~. <br />
