DES:yc:2/24/77 ORIGINAr 0 R DIN AN C E N O. 1698 MAR 14 1977 --------- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO, AND APPROVING, THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "CORDILLERAS ROAD ANNEXATION - 1977," HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. This Council hereby finds, determines, and declares, with respect to the hereinafter described real property, as follows: (a) (b) (c) On January 17, 1977, this Council adopted Resolution No. 7751 giving notice of, and declaring, its intention to initiate, upon petition signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo, proceedings to annex to the City of Redwood City all of the territory described in said resolution and hereinafter, and designated said proposed annexation "Cordilleras Road Annexation - 1977"; The San Mateo County Local Agency Formation Commission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report to this Council upon the aforementioned proposal to annex said real property to the City of Redwood City, and said Commission has approved said proposed annexation subject to certain conditions; The aforementioned conditions of the aforesaid Local Agency Formation Commission have been performed, to wit: (1 ) The map and legal description accompanying the proposed annexation have been revised to include the unincorporated portion of Cordilleras Road contiguous to the subject territory proposed for annexation, and (2) The City Manager has, on behalf of the City of Redwood City, submitted to the San Mateo County Local Agency Formation Commission an application for the annexation of the unincorporated portion of Cordilleras Road which is adjacent to the proposed development commonly known as "Motorcycle Hill"; (d) The territory proposed to be annexed is situate immediately adjacent to, and touches, and is contiguous to, the boundaries of the City of Redwood City; (e) Less than 12 persons who have been registered to vote within the territory proposed to be annexed for at least 54 days resided within said territory at the time of filing the petition for annexation, and said territory is therefore uninhabited; 1698
