DES:dj~ 91/30/96 (067/41) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 2/12/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12698 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF BEECH STREET <br /> (SOUTHWESTERLY OF HILTON STREET) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, PURSUANT TO PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA <br /> STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE, SUBJECT TO SATISFACTION OF <br /> CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at <br />Section 8300) of Division 9 of the California Streets and <br />Highways Code, the Council of the City of Redwood City by its <br />Resolution No. 12676, adopted January 8, 1996, declared its <br />intention to vacate the hereinafter described portion of Beech <br />Street (to wit: a 13 foot wide by 100 foot long strip, <br />southwesterly of Hilton Street), a public street in the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 8322 and 8323 of the Streets <br />and Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the described <br />portion of said street was published and posted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held and evidence <br />taken; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br />hereinafter described portion of Beech Street (to wit: a 13 foot <br />wide by 100 foot long strip, southwesterly of Hilton Street), a <br />public street in the City of Redwood City, is no longer needed <br />for present or prospective public use, and hereby orders said <br />portion vacated subject to the conditions listed on Exhibit "C" <br /> <br /> <br />
