ATTY/RESO.0071/PC RESO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR HISTORIC PROPERTY – 1417 MIDDLEFIELD <br />REV: 09-23-2022 JB <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22-03 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY <br />COUNCIL APPROVE A CONTRACT FOR HISTORIC PROPERTY <br />PRESERVATION FOR THE RESIDENCE AT 1417 MIDDLEFIELD <br />ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Noventi QOZ Properties LLC (the “Property <br />Owner”), applied for a Contract for Historic Property Preservation (the “Project”) <br />located at 1417 Middlefield Road (the “Property”); and <br />WHEREAS, the on June 5, 1989, the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City declared and designated the Property a historic landmark pursuant to the <br />terms and provisions of Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 25, 2022, the Historic Resources Advisory <br />Committee (HRAC) held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all <br />applicable requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood <br />City Municipal Code to consider the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the HRAC recommended that a Contract for Historic Property <br />Preservation (“Mills Act Contract”) be approved for the Property by a vote of 4-0; <br />and <br /> <br />WHERAS, on September 14, 2022, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the <br />Property Owner; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 4, 2022, the Planning Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing in accordable with all applicable requirements of the State <br />Planning and Zoning Law, the Redwood City Municipal Code, and the Zoning <br />Ordinance to consider the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Property and Project do qualify for a Mills Act Contract; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br />residents therein, that a Mills Act Contract be approved to assist in the restoration <br />and preservation of the Property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
