<br />ATTY/RESO.0023/ PC RESO APPROVING AP2022-081 <br />REV: 03-30-2023 JB <br />Page 1 of 8 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23-05 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY APPROVING ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT 2022-081 <br />AND A PERMIT AS PROVIDED IN THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />ORDINANCE FOR 1425 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD (APN: 053-144-150) IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 45 OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING <br />CODE AND CHAPTER 40 OF THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Giacomo Marini (“Applicant”), on behalf of property owner <br />Noventi QOZ Properties, LLC (“Property Owner”), applied for an Architectural Permit <br />and a Permit as required by Chapter 40 (Historic Preservation) of the City’s Municipal <br />Code, to construct a new 3,050 square foot duplex under file number AP2022-081 <br />(“Project”) at the property located at 1425 Middlefield Road, (APN: 053-144-150) <br />(“Property”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code <br />(“Historic Preservation Ordinance”), the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br />(“HRAC”) reviewed the application to construct the improvement on the Property which <br />is within the Stambaugh-Heller Historic District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 27, 2023 a public hearing notice of the HRAC hearing <br />was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to property owners and <br />residents in a 300 foot radius of the project site and the Property Owner; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 9, 2023, the HRAC conducted a duly-noticed public <br />hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to review the <br />Project and supporting material. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 9, 2023, the HRAC considered the Project and adopted <br />Resolution No.23-02 recommending the Planning Commission approve Permit No. <br />AP2022-081 in accordance with Chapter 40 of the Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant the Historic Preservation Ordinance, the Planning <br />Commission is empowered to approve or disapprove an application to tear down, <br />demolish, construct, alter, remove or relocate any improvement, or any portion thereof, <br />which has been designated a historic landmark or is within a historic district in <br />accordance with the standards of Article 40.5, giving consideration of the <br />recommendation of the Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 24, 2023, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to <br />residents and owners in a 300 foot radius of the project site and the Property Owner; <br />and
