ATTY/RESO.0008/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN (SEIU, RCMEA, RCPOA, RCPSA) <br />REV: 03-03-26 MI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO.16393 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND <br />WAGE PLAN TO ESTABLISH THE NEW JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR <br />CLASSIFICATIONS OF PROJECT READ AIDE, TRANSPORTATION <br />MANAGER, POLICE OFFICER II, POLICE OFFICER III, POLICE <br />SERGEANT II, POLICE SERGEANT III, POLICE LIEUTENANT II, <br />POLICE LIEUTENANT III, AND TO AMEND JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR <br />PROJECT READ ASSISTANT, POLICE OFFICER WITH TITLE CHANGE <br />TO POLICE OFFICER I, POLICE SERGEANT WITH TITLE CHANGE TO <br />POLICE SERGEANT I, AND POLICE LIEUTENANT WITH TITLE <br />CHANGE TO POLICE LIEUTENANT I <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that various job descriptions be <br />established and/or amended to meet the current and future operational needs for the City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibit “A” were <br />prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department management, to <br />ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with the Service <br />Employees International Union – Local 521/CTW-CLC, and reached agreement on the <br />new proposed job description and salary for Project READ Aide, and on proposed <br />amendments to the Project READ Assistant job description, as described in Exhibits “A” <br />and “B”; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with the Redwood City <br />Management Employees Association, and reached agreement on the new proposed job <br />description and salary for Transportation Manager, as described in Exhibits “A” and “B”; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with the Redwood City <br />Police Officers Association, and reached agreement on the new proposed job <br />descriptions for Police Officer II and Police Officer III, and the proposed amended job <br />description for Police Officer with title change to Police Officer I, as described in Exhibits <br />“A” and “B”; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with the Redwood City <br />Police Supervisors Association, and reached agreement on the new proposed job <br />descriptions for Police Sergeant II, Police Sergeant III, Police Lieutenant II, and Police <br />Lieutenant III, and the proposed amended job descriptions for Police Sergeant with title <br />change to Police Sergeant I, and Police Lieutenant with title change to Police Lieutenant <br />I, as described in Exhibits “A” and “B”.
