(Q~IO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 4 OF RULE VI, ADDING <br />SECTION 6 TO RULE VI, AND AMENDING SECTION 2 OF <br />RULE XII AND SECTION 2 OF RULE XIII OF THE PERSONNEL <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />RELATING TO UNIFORM ALLOWANCES, HEALTH INSURANCE <br />PREMIUMS, OVERTIME, AND SICK LEAVE, RESPECTIVELY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter lO of Division 4 <br /> <br />of Title 1 of the Government Code of the State of California <br /> <br />(commencing with ~3500), representatives of this Council and <br /> <br />recognized employee organizations have met and conferred in good <br /> <br />faith regarding wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of <br /> <br />employment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of said meeting and conferring there <br /> <br />have been presented to this Council certain proposals relating <br /> <br />to uniform allowances, payment of certain health insurance <br /> <br />premiums, overtime provisions, and sick leave provisions, which <br /> <br />proposals this Council has reviewed and desires to approve; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to effectuate said proposals, it is <br /> <br />necessary to amend certain provisions of the Personnel Rules and <br /> <br />Regulations of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />l. Section 4 of Rule VI of the Personnel Rules and Regulations <br /> <br />of the city of Redwood city is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"section 4. Uniform Allowance; Every employee of the <br /> <br />Police, Fire and City Collector Departments required by <br /> <br />departmental rule, approved by the City Manager, to maintain <br /> <br />a uniform, shall be credited with an initial and annual <br /> <br />uniform allowance as specified in this section: <br /> <br />liOn being permanently appointed after the effective <br />
