RESOLUTION NO. P-1297 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING VESSEL "MISS MONICA" TO BE <br /> ABANDONED; AND DIRECTING PORT MANAGER TO DISPOSE <br /> OF SAID VESSEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH CALIFORNIA <br /> HARBORS AND NAVIGATION CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the fishing vessel, Miss Monica, has been <br /> <br />berthed at the Port of Redwood City since June 15, 1987; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no tariff charges have been paid on behalf of <br /> <br />the Miss Monica since July 24, 1987; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAs, the Miss Monica was registered with the United <br /> <br />States Coast Guard as No. 580 716, by its last known owner, <br /> <br />Tom Stribling; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all attempts by the Port Manager of Operations <br /> <br />to contact Mr. Stribling at his last known address have <br /> <br />failed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Miss Monica sank in December, 1987, and <br /> <br />was raised by the help of the Coast Guard and Port <br /> <br />employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after surveying the Miss Monica, Captain <br /> <br />Richard C. Stenger has declared her unseaworthy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Miss Monica has been berthed at the Port <br /> <br />of Redwood City without the consent of this Board for a <br />period of more than 100 days, to wit: since July 24, 1987, <br />and this Board desires to declare the Miss Monica to be <br />abandoned, and to dispose of the vessel in accordance with <br />the provisions of Section 522 of the California Harbors and <br />Navigation Code; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> <br />
