4 DES : yc: 2 /1/71 <br /> • <br /> .°410vAL k8JD <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. eiS <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 4, RULE VI, SECTION 12, <br /> RULE X, SECTION 1, RULE XII, AND SECTION 2, RULE XII <br /> OF THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING UNIFORM ALLOWANCE, SEASONAL <br /> APPOINTMENTS, HOURS OF WORK, AND OVERTIME, RESPECTIVELY; <br /> AND ADDING SECTION 7 TO RULE VI, AND SECTION 13 TO <br /> RULE X OF SAID RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO <br /> • EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM AND PART -TIME APPOINTMENTS, <br /> RESPECTIVELY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 10, Division 4, <br /> Title 1, of the Government Code, representatives of this Council <br /> met and conferred with representatives of the recognized employee <br /> organizations of the City o'= Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore approved certain <br /> memoranda of understanding entered into between said representa- <br /> tives, the provisions of which memoranda require certain amendments <br /> to the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of Redwood <br /> City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Board of the City of Redwood City <br /> has reviewed said proposed amendments and recommended approval <br /> thereof; <br /> • <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Section 4 of Rule VI of the Personnel Rules and Regula- <br /> tions of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> "Section 4. Uniform Allowance. Every employee of <br /> the Police and Fire Departments required by departmental <br /> rule, approved by the City Manager, to maintain a uniform, <br /> shall be credited with an initial and annual uniform <br /> allowance as specified in this section: <br /> "On being permanently appointed after the effective <br /> date of this section, following the termination of the <br /> probationary period, such employee shall be credited with <br /> an initial allowance in the sum of $125 in the event a <br /> • <br />
