r <br /> 410 110 CGM:yc;2 /5/71 <br /> FEB 8'tg <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> R E S O L U T I ON NO. af/5r <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br /> WEED ERADICATION PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6445, adopted January 11, <br /> 1971, the City Clerk called for bids for the letting of a contract <br /> for the performance of certain spraying and disking work for the <br /> control and eradication of undesirable vegetation in the City <br /> of Redwood City for the year 1971; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution, the City Clerk called <br /> for bids and bids were received and filed with the City Clerk; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, ROBERTS COMPANY, Burlingame, California, <br /> is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> desire of this Council to award said contract to said <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the bid of Roberts Company , in the total <br /> amount of Twenty Thousand Two Hundred Ninety -five Dollars <br /> ($20,295.00 ), more or less, computed in accordance with <br /> bidder's proposal dated January 29 , 1971, for the <br /> performance of the work necessary to accomplish weed eradication <br /> by spraying and disking in the City of Redwood City, California, <br /> in accordance with the specifications approved by Resolution <br /> No. 6445, be and the same is hereby accepted. Any irregularities <br /> or informalities that may be contained in said bid are hereby <br /> waived. <br /> 2. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of <br />
