May ,199$ Agenda Item No. <br />RESOLUTION INTO, 98 -4 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY CERTIFYING <br />COMPLETION OF FINAL EIR FOR FOURTH <br />AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO.2 <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Agency ") .has prepared the Fourth .Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for <br />Redevelopment Project No. 2 ("'Fourth Amendment ") - and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency as the lead agency , under the State guidelines for <br />the implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act ( has <br />caused a DraftEIR to be prepared with respect to the Fourth Amendment;.and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Agency's CEQA guidelines a public <br />hearing concerning .the Draft EIR was held before the Planning Commission on <br />February 17,1998, following; publication of notice; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency established a 45 -day period for the receipt of <br />written comments concerning the E.IR, which period expired on March 4, 1998; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, during said public hearing, oral comments were received from <br />the following four individuals: Richard Gardella, of 333 Bradford .Street; Victor <br />Thomas, with Lyngso Garden Materials, of 19 Seaport Blvd..; Robert Lico, of 2044 <br />.Spring Street, representing himself and several other property owners; Jim <br />weissenborn, of 3160 Bay Road; and Mory Zaski, of 795 5th Avenue; and, during <br />the period for receiving written comments six sets of written comments were <br />received as follows: one letter from. Lisa Aozasa, of the City/County Association <br />of governments of San Mateo County (CCAG), dated February 25, 1998; one <br />letter from Richard E. Gardella, Attorney, dated.March 3, 19.98; one letter from <br />James B. Rein, of 3150 -3186 Spring Street, dated. March .3, 1998; one letter from <br />1 <br />AK /DES: 5/7/9$ <br />
