J8- <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PLANNED <br />DEVELOPMENT 'PERMIT FOR THE ELECTRONIC ARTS <br />HEADQUARTERS MASTER PLAN <br />(FLATIRONS FUNDING) <br />On motion of Planning Commission Member Ga , duly seconded and <br />carried, the following resolution was adopted: <br />WHEREAS, an application. has been submitted by Electronic Arts Redwood, Inc. <br />as agent for Flatirons Funding, Limited Partnership (the `Applicant "), for an Amendment <br />to the Planned Development Permit (PD 10307 -5) approved by the Planning Coir�n scion <br />on June 1.9, 1.996 by Resolution No. PC 96 - and as amended by resolution loo. PC 9.8 1 <br />on February 25, 1998 (the Planned Development Permit as previously amended is <br />referred to as the "PDP" and the . Amendm.ent to the PDP is referred to as the " PDP <br />Amendm "); and <br />WHEREAS, under the PDP, Nesting Tentative Map, and the Development <br />Agreement, the Applicant has vested rights to build up to 175,000 square feet of Gross <br />Building Floor Area ( "GBFA ") for office use in a building that does. not exceed eight <br />stories or 130 feet, whichever is dower, on Lot 1 (referred to as Zone 4 in the <br />Development Agreement), and up to 225,00.0 square feet of GBFA for office use in a <br />building that does not exceed eight stories or 130 feet, whichever is lower, on Lot 2 <br />(referred to as ,Zone 2 in the Development Agreement); and <br />�I�RE S, the relationship of the proposed buildings in f Lots 1 and 2 to the <br />Electronic Arts buildings already constructed would be unproved if the .location of the <br />proposed buildings were moved about 100 feet southwesterly toward redwood Shores <br />Parkway, while lea ving the basic configuration of the development on this portion of the <br />Electronic Arts Property unchanged; :and <br />WHEREAS, this change requires an adjustment to the existing lot lines; and <br />WHEREAS, this lot line adjustment requires, in turn, the PDP Amendment <br />because it would locate a parking structure where the PDP contemplates a Common Area <br />walkway; and <br />WIM E,A►.S, the Planning Commission has held a duly - noticed public hearing at <br />which public comment relating to the proposed PDP Amendment has been received; <br />PDAMREs3.DOo <br />
