Software loaded on servers must <br /> be approved by EDM support services. <br /> 6. EDM support for application software includes the initial installation, re- <br /> installation, and software upgrades/patches. <br /> a. East Palo Alto will pay for any technical support contracts for third-party <br /> software that is not commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software (i.e., <br /> Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). <br /> 7. EDM support staff and Software Development staff will report directly to the <br /> Redwood City Information Technology Manager, who in turn will report directly to <br /> either the City Manager, or the Assistant City Manager, both East Palo Alto <br /> employees. <br /> a. The City Manager, or the Assistant City Manager, will establish support <br /> priorities for the EDM and Software Development. <br /> b. EDM and Software Development staff will keep the City Manager, or the <br /> Assistant City Manager, informed of their locations and work performed <br /> either directly or through Redwood City Information Technology Manager. <br /> c. Purchasing decisions for software will be consistent with the approved <br /> East Palo Alto budget. <br /> d.
