The Vision Stage emphasizes the objectives of the website and how it supports <br />your overall organizational goals. This vision then guides each subsequent step in the <br />process. <br />To create this vision, we will: <br />• Prepare and review a survey document which will focus on goals and objectives. <br />• Lead an onsite brainstorming and planning session where we discuss your current <br />website, the results of surveys, the needs of users and staff, and possible <br />approaches for the future. <br />• Review your existing website and those of similar cities. <br />• Study examples of other websites you like. <br />• Review project goals and timeline. <br />• Collect content and materials for the new website. <br />The heart of this stage is defining the vision for the project, setting goals, and timeline to <br />ensure the project’s success. <br />Stage 2: Concept Stage <br />In the Concept Stage we realize the vision through: <br />• Creation of the information architecture which supports easy access to <br />information. <br />• Defining the navigation strategy. <br />• Review and recommendation of interactive components and features to ensure <br />streamlined navigation through special types of content. <br />• Creation of a conceptual sitemap and categorization of pages.
