7.3.C. - Page 4 ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING <br /> MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMENDMENTS TO EMPLOYMENT <br /> AGREEMENTS OF CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, AND CITY <br /> CLERK ADJUSTING THEIR SALARIES <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Redwood City Council periodically <br /> determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and compensation plan for the <br /> appointed positions of City Manager, City Attorney; and City Clerk; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council conducts annual performance evaluations of the City <br /> Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk, and reviews salaries with respect to salary survey <br /> data of comparable positions in benchmark Cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City <br /> Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk and ensure that salaries remain competitive and <br /> in appropriate alignment with other City classifications. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The base compensation for the position of City Manager shall be increased <br /> by eight percent (8 %) effective the first day of the first pay period following <br /> July 1, 2014; and <br /> 2. The base compensation for the position of City Attorney shall be increased <br /> by four percent (4 %) effective the first day of the first pay period following <br /> July 1, 2014; and <br /> 3. The base compensation for the position of Clerk shall be increased by <br /> thirteen percent (13 %), and the five percent (5 %) bilingual differential shall <br /> be deleted, effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, <br /> 2014; and <br /> 4. The eligibility for a 5% bilingual differential for the City Clerk shall be <br /> removed from the Agreement of the City Clerk; and <br /> 5. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute amendments to the Employment <br /> Agreements of the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk, attached <br /> hereto as Attachments A, B, and C, respectively, to effectuate the salary <br /> adjustments as provided for herein. <br /> 6.
