Commissioner Buckhout inquired as to why the Commission did not have
representation on County Committees which dealt with the need for motor-
cycle and golfing facilities in San Mateo County . He said that large
segments of the population participated in those activities , but that
the facilities were limited . Mr . Weeks replied that the Commission
had given input to the Committee which had developed the County ' s plan
for off- road vehicles . He further indicated that the City had no offi -
cial representatives in any County Committee concerning golf . He sug -
gested that this might be a suitable area of concern for the Program
Committee . Superintendent Paulson briefly reviewed for the Commission
the status of the golf course in the pronsed watershed development .
REPORTS
Report Item 1 . He further commented on the cost of installing
this type of system , their vandalism susceptibility , and gave a brief
description of the principles involved in their operation .
MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the Depart -
mental Monthly Reports , seconded by Commissioner
Hayes . The motion carried unanimously by voice
vote .
Report Item 2 . Other Reports
Mr . Weeks reminded the Commission that Thursday , March 3 , was the date
for the joint Parks and Recreation and Civic Cultural Commission meet -
ing . Chairperson Pound asked if an agenda would be prepared for that
meeting . Mr .
