r • <br /> PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT <br /> DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT <br /> MAY 1977 <br /> Redwood Shores and Mezes Park Completion <br /> There was no construction work accomplished in the Redwood Shores park <br /> areas or toward the completion of the Mezes Park project . This work <br /> stopage is a result of the contractor ' s failure to meet the terms and <br /> obligations of the contracts . Negotiations continue with the bonding <br /> company and the City Attorney and the Public Works Department , in an <br /> effort to expedite initiating work on the projects and moving them <br /> toward completion . <br /> The City Attorney ' s office has also urged the bonding company to assume <br /> the responsibility for covering several shallow irrigation trenches <br /> which were left uncovered in the Redwood Shores areas . In that liability <br /> rests with the bonding company , it is expected that this work will be <br /> accomplished very soon . <br /> Contractors for the bonding company have been in contact with City <br /> representatives relative to the work and it is hoped that completion <br /> work will be underway in the early part of June . <br /> -8- <br />
