The <br /> project total is based on the following estimates : <br /> $ 500 - Site preparation <br /> 10 , 500 - Grading and top soil <br /> 1 , 980 - Park walkways <br /> 1 , 500 - Play area curbing <br /> 1 , 000 - Sand <br /> 16 , 000 - Play apparatus <br /> $31 ,480 <br /> 4 , 720 - 15% Design and Engineering costs <br /> $36 , 200 TOTAL <br /> 3 . Capital Outlay funds uncommitted would approximate $21 , 118 . <br /> D . It is proposed that these uncommitted Capital Outlay funds be <br /> utilized to begin the immediate design and construction drawings <br /> for the Red Morton Park project . The 1974 State Park Bond funds <br /> will not be available until July 1 , 1978 . If the design and <br /> engineering is completed prior to that date then the project can <br /> go to bid immediately upon receipt of the funds . Barring any <br /> unforeseen problems , construction could then begin in late August <br /> after the completion of the softball and baseball seasons . If <br /> design and engineering must await receipt of the bond money then <br /> it is unlikely that any construction could begin prior to January <br /> of 1979 .
