Weeks updated the Commission on the Department ' s Water Management <br /> Study . He indicated that the City is trying its best to retain as much <br /> of the landscaping as possible , Mr . Weeks felt that the Department <br /> would profit ( in the long run ) from this drought experience particularly <br /> with regard to future Department work , techniques and practices and with <br /> the help of the Water Management Study , significant savings can be accom- <br /> plished when normal rainfall is again a reality . <br /> Commissioner Anderson commented that the Boys Youth Softball program was <br /> an excellent program and felt that the boys were enjoying it very much . <br /> His main concern is that the Boys Softball League not develop the atmos- <br /> phere that prevails in Little League . Mr . Paulson indicated that this <br /> was not likely as long as the Department retained control over the program . <br /> Commissioner Anderson further indicated that the supervised experimental <br /> playground activities held daily at Canyon Park were going very well , <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Hayes moved to accept the monthly <br /> reports , seconded by Commissioner Anderson . The <br /> motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> COMMITTEE SCHEDULING <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that he would like to meet with the Operational <br /> Policies Committee to discuss the deposit fees for the recreational <br /> buildings . A meeting of the Operational Policies Committee was <br /> scheduled for Wednesday , July 20 , 1977 , at 4 : 00 p . m . He further <br /> indicated he would possibly call a meeting with the Design & Develop- <br /> ment Committee concerning the 1977-78 Capital Improvement Program . <br /> No time or date was determined at this time . <br /> ROUND TABLE <br /> Commissioner Hayes indicated that she would be absent from the August <br /> Commission meeting due to family vacation . <br /> Commission Buckhout informed the Commission that he would be moving <br /> to Auburn , California within a few months to undertake a new job , but <br /> that he would be attending the August Commission meeting . <br /> MOTION : There being no further business , Commissioner <br /> Buckhout moved , seconded by Commissioner Hayes <br /> to adjourn the meeting .
