COMMITTEE SCHEDULING <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that he would like to meet with the Design & Develop- <br /> ment Committee for a meeting on the final arrangements for the develop- <br /> ment of Red Morton Community Park . He indicated that he would call the <br /> members to establish a time . <br /> ROUND TABLE <br /> Commissioner Hayes inquired about the Winchester Mystery House/Lake Vasona <br /> Summer Trip . She had understood that it was not very successful . Mr . <br /> Paulson indicated that there were some problems with the trip and the <br /> Department was going to look into other places to go next summer in place <br /> of the Winchester Mystery House Trip . <br /> She also inquired about the family picnics held at each park on the last <br /> day of the summer playground activities . Mr . Paulson indicated that the <br /> picnics went well at most of the parks . Commissioner Anderson felt that <br /> it was a terrific day at Canyon Park with a good turnout of families . <br /> Commissioner Pound informed the Commission of a letter that was addressed <br /> to her regarding the undeveloped areas in Redwood Shores . She requested <br /> that the Department investigate the areas and respond to the writer . Com- <br /> missioner Pound referred this letter to the staff . <br /> Commissioner Weintraub inquired as to the status of the downtown fountain . <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that the Civic Cultural Commission now has a Committee <br /> working on this project . He further indicated that the Design & Develop- <br /> ment Committee would work together with the Civic Cultural Commission ' s <br /> Committee . <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that the Downtown Opera Lunches are being scheduled <br /> on Fridays starting September 16 and running through October 7 . <br /> Commissioner Weintraub indicated that she can not attend the League of <br /> California Cities Conference on September 25 to 28th . Mr . Weeks informed <br /> the Commission that he would hold her registration in case any of the <br /> other Commissioners wished to attend the Conference . <br /> MOTION : There being no further business , Commissioner <br /> Weintraub moved , seconded by Commissioner Pound , <br /> to adjourn the meeting . The motion carried <br /> unanimously by voice vote and the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 9 : 27 p . m . <br /> -4- <br />
