The State of California now requires department supervisory personnel to <br /> be examined and licensed by the State if they are going to be involved <br /> with the use of pesticides and herbicides . Park Supervisor Luis Hernandez <br /> and Park Leader Ivy Kitajima attended the certification training course <br /> on September 8 and September 15 . They successfully completed the course <br /> and the examination necessary for certification and have subsequently <br /> received their licenses for supervising the use of pesticides and herbi - <br /> cides in the State of California . <br /> -7 - <br />
