Award of Contract - Fair Oaks Elementary School Sport Field Improvements <br /> Project <br /> Senior Civil Engineer Vorametsanti stated that due to a bid protest, this topic is <br /> presented as a staff report to give opportunity for public comment. The pl~int was <br /> made that although some of the protest letters had not been included in the <br /> Council agenda packet, that they are available at this time. . <br /> Council comment asked that the City Manager monitor prevailing wages on the <br /> project. <br /> Recommendation <br /> MIS HartnettlBain to approve the contract Documents, deny the bid protest filed <br /> by Interstate Grading and Paving, Inc. ("IGP"), waive the minor irregularities in <br /> Dryco Construction, Inc.'s bid, and award the contract for Fair Oaks Elementary <br /> School Sport Field Improvement Project to the lowest responsible bidder, Dryco <br /> Construction, Inc. of Fremont, California, for their low bid of $803,876.00. <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. MINUTE ORDER 04-76 <br /> C. Consultant Agreement with Freedman, Tung, and Bottomley Urban Design to <br /> prepare Construction Documents for the Streetscape Portion of the Retail/Cinema <br /> Project, including Theatre Way - CITY COUNCIU REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> Interim Community Development Services Director Patterson was available for <br /> questions or comments. <br /> Recommendation <br /> M/S Foust/Ruskin to approve the Agreement with Freedman, Tung, and <br /> Bottomley Urban Design (FTB) to prepare construction documents for the <br /> Streetscape portion of the Retail/Cinema Project in an amount of $468,000.00 <br /> and authorize an additional $20,000 for the Project Review in the Downtown Area. <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 04-77 <br /> RD MINUTE ORDER 04-06 <br />M/S Foust/Howard to adjourn the Redevelopment Agency meeting.
