Monthly Reports <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated the plans for Redwood Shores park areas will' be going <br /> to the Council Monday July 17, 1978, for approval of the contract for <br /> the landscaping and walk improvements. <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated that trees and shrubs are being planted at the ball <br /> diamond of the Belmont School Site and they should provide more protec- <br /> tion for the homeowners in the area. <br /> Mr. Weeks further indicated the San Mateo County Agriculture Department <br /> is conducting a door to door survey of the City in their attempt to pre- <br /> vent and control the Dutch Elm Disease which has been found in Hills- <br /> borough and Palo Alto. Only one case has been found in Redwood City <br /> thus far. ' <br /> (COMMISSIONER WEINTRAUB ARRIVED AT 8:30 P.M.) <br /> MOTION: Commissioner Hayes moved, seconded by Comnissioner <br /> Pound, to accept the monthly reports as submitted. <br /> The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> REPORT ITEM 3. Committee Scheduling <br /> Mr. Weeks indicated that he would like to meet with the Operational Poli- <br /> cies and the Design and Development Committees. He indicated they would <br /> be called to establish a time. <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 Transfer of 1976 Park Bond Funds�- Canyon Park to Comnunity <br /> � Pool <br /> Mr. Weeks reviewed for the Commission several discussions that he has <br /> had with Council members, the City Manager, and the Herkner foundation <br /> Cortmittee regarding the $100,000 donated to the City for the CommunTty <br /> Pool Project and the $191 ,273 from 1976 State Park Bond Fund for Canyon <br /> Park. He indicated that the Revenue Sharing Funds for the pool project <br /> -2- <br />
