It seems to depend entirely
upon the facilities available and the primary intent for the use of those
facilities. It was the consensus of the Committee that some relief should
be made to the seniors and that it should be handled on a discount basis
rather than making changes in the priorities or creating a special priority
for seniors.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the Committee was in agreement to
recorrnnend the following:
1 . Retain all present group requirements and conditions relative to the
use of the building facilities.
2. To establish a senior discount of 50 on the rates charged fo the
facilities; however, the amount paid would not be less than the
minimum hourly custodial rate which is established in the fee schedule.
3. To qualify for the senior discount, the organization's primary purpose
must be for servicing seniors and must meet the requirements as stated
for Group IV Priority.
The Committee felt that this approach might be implemented for a few months
in order to ascertain any problems which might arise resultant from this
change. The matter would then be re-evaluated for further consideration
and additional changes if needed.
-6-
