' � � <br /> RECREATION DIVISION MONTHLY REPORT <br /> FEBRUARY 1976 <br /> CENTER OPERATIONS & SPECIAL INTEREST CLASSES <br /> Supervisor: Sally Hartman � <br /> Special Interest Classes <br /> C1asses started during the week of January 19, and registration was brisk. <br /> There were just a few cancellations including two creative dance classes, <br /> the puppetry workshop for adults, one belly dancing and one baton class. <br /> Otherwise most of the programs are off to a good start. <br /> The Women in Leisure Services Chapter of Chi Kappa Rho met at the Veterans <br /> Building on January 14. An interesting program regarding "Alternatives to <br /> After-School Programs" was held with speakers from San Jose, San Pablo and <br /> Redwood City talking about some of their new efforts in progranxning. <br /> RED ��IORTON CONa�IUNITY CENTER <br /> Ski Trip <br /> The Ski Trip scheduled for January 31 has been postponed due to the lack of <br /> snow at Dodge Ridge. Forty Junior High students will be notified that the <br /> trip is rescheduled for March 13. <br /> Recreation Night <br /> Wednesday evenings are scheduled for Junior High students only. Some activities <br /> are structured while others such as ping-pong, pool and trampoline are first <br /> come, first served. Attendance has been between 75 to 100 students an evenin�. <br /> High School nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays. <br /> NOON PROGRAM <br /> Hoover Junior High <br /> Activities offered this month were Jewelry Class, Bingo, P�ovies and a Music <br /> Day. Additionally, four Soccer Teams were organized by the recreation <br /> leaders. The Student Council meets every two weeks, with the Recreation <br /> leaders and student advisors meeting a day before to set the Student Council <br /> Agenda.
