RECREATION DIVISION MONTHLY REPORTS <br /> FEBRUARY 1976 <br /> AQUATICS AND ATHLETICS <br /> Supervisor : Bill Wooten <br /> Adult Basketball <br /> The women ' s league finished the second round of play while the men ' s leagues <br /> started getting into the playoffs . Forty- seven men ' s teams partici - <br /> pated this past season as well as four women ' s teams . <br /> Adult Co - Ed Volleyball <br /> The second round of play was completed during February . The leagues have <br /> been reorganized and start their third round in early March . <br /> Adult Softball <br /> On February 25 , thirteen members of the Softball Advisory Board met at the <br /> Community Activities Building . League fees were established for the 1976 <br /> season as well as reviewing the league policies . <br /> Teen Basketball League <br /> Twelve teams have signed up to play in the Teen Basketball League in 1976 . <br /> Games will tart in early March . <br /> During the month of February two public meetings were held with special <br /> interest sport groups . <br /> Soccer <br /> All local soccer organizations were present to discuss facility use problems <br /> which have arisen with the increased popularity of the sport of soccer . <br /> Input was received and recommended solutions will be outlined in a concise <br /> report which will be completed soon . <br /> Tennis <br /> Only four interested tennis buffs appeared at the public meeting to discuss <br /> the possibility of reserving tennis courts at Red Morton Park during high <br /> use periods ( Saturday , Sunday , holidays ) . Valuable input was received and <br /> Staff is proceeding with a report and recommendation . <br />
