REPORT ON PROPOSED TENNIS COURT RESERVATION POLICY
On February 26 , 1976 a public meeting was held to receive input from
interested tennis players concerning the possibility of reserving the four public
tennis courts at Red Morton Community Park .
Although postcards announcing the public meeting were sent to approxim-
ately 100 tennis players who participated in recent tournaments and a notice was
published in the newspaper only four citizens were present at the public meeting .
Although the turnout was small valuable input was received from this
meeting .
Generally , the idea of reserving courts at Red Morton Community Park
was well received and the interested citizens felt the Parks and Recreation Depart -
ment should give the program a try .
Subsequently , the Parks and Recreation Staff are proposing a pilot
program be implemented to determine the need and acceptance by the community .
( See attached proposal . )
- 16 -
