Mezes Park The final review of the construction drawings and specifications for Phase II of Mezes Park has been slightly delayed pending the removal of the caboose from Red Morton Community Park . In that the construction of the restroom facilities at Red Morton Park will be a part of the contract for the Phase II construction of Mezes Park , final drawings for the project are dependent upon the disposition of the caboose . This should be determined by the second week of April , and if current schedules are met , the caboose should be removed from the area prior to the end of April . These projects are being combined into one contract in order to reduce the cost of both jobs . Senior Center Architectural Studies The Senior Center Committee met on three different occasions during the month of March with the architectural consultant , Kingsford Jones , relative to the initial phases of the architectural studies . The Committee considered a series of space requirements for the various activities proposed for the Center , as well as determined the priorities for space allocation for the Center . Considera - tion was given both to the initial phases of the project , as well as to the final Master Plan for Alternate Development . Architect Jones offered many suggestions to the Committee and presented a comparative analysis of Redwood City ' s proposed project with other projects , so that the Committee could obtain greater insight into the complexities of the Senior Center Structure . The architect will now prepare preliminary sketches which will incorporate the space requirements and priorities arrived at by the Committee . The Committee at their next meeting will review the preliminary sketches of the possible floor plans utilizing existing structures , together with considering a completely separate structure . The sketches should be ready for review the latter part of April or the first part of May . -7 -
