The project should be completed by <br /> the middle of July . <br /> Mezes Park <br /> The plans and specifications for Phase II of Mezes Park , which will include <br /> the construction of the restroom facilities at Red Morton Park , are comp- <br /> lete and will be forwarded to the City Council at their meeting of June 7 , <br /> for approval and authorization to call for bids . This project will complete <br /> the reconstruction and upgrading of Mezes Park and will also provide for <br /> additional restroom facilities at Red Morton Park , which is a part of the <br /> Phase III construction of Red Morton Park . <br /> Senior Center Architectural Studies <br /> The architectural consultant , Kingsford Jones , has now completed the prelimin - <br /> ary space allocation and sketches together with preliminary cost estimates <br /> for the senior center . The staff has been meeting with the architect dis - <br /> cussing the various technical details of the several options for the pro- <br /> posed senior center . A meeting has been scheduled with the Senior Center <br /> Study Committee for June 2nd , at which time the preliminary sketches , space <br /> allocations , and cost estimates will be reviewed . <br /> Red Morton Park- Dickey Street Parking Area <br /> Preliminary sketches together with cost estimates have now been completed <br /> by the Public Works Department for this project . Several options exist <br /> relative to the final treatment for this parking area project . Meetings <br /> have been scheduled for the first week of June to review the options prior <br /> to authorizing final preparation of plans and specifications . <br /> Canyon Park and Hetch - Hetchy Right -of-Way <br /> The final master site plans together with the narrative descriptions of <br /> both Canyon Park and Hetch - Hetchy Right -of-Way were presented to the City <br /> Council at their meeting of May 24 , 1976 : The plans were approved by <br /> the City Council , and they will now serve as a basis for the long -range <br /> construction of the park areas , as funds become available . Funds for <br /> the initial phase of construction for Canyon Park were requested as part <br /> of the Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 1976-77 . If these funds <br /> are approved , detailed plans and specifications can be initiated irmuediately <br /> after the start of the new fiscal year . <br /> - 9 - <br />
