Commissioner Schlesinger inquired as to whether a single commission <br /> member would be sufficient to accomplish the review . Mr . Weeks indicated that <br /> commissioners as individuals could review the situation or a Commission <br /> committee would be suitable for the purposes of review . Discussion ensued <br /> as to the desirability of effecting commission review by committee or as <br /> individual commissioners . It was finally determined that each commissioner , <br /> as personal schedules allow , would become familiarized with the problems <br /> indicated in the appeal . Mr . Weeks indicated he would so notify Mr . Giannini . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1 . Redwood City Bikeways Plan - Review of Final Draft <br /> Mr . Weeks reminded the Commission that they had in their April business <br /> meeting requested that the Bicycle Plan be carried over so that more time <br /> would be available to review the draft and to consider recommendations to <br /> the plan . Commissioners Schlesinger commented that the plan basically was <br /> transportation -oriented , and is not necessarily concerned with recreation . <br /> Discussion followed as to the efforts to solicit public input to the plan . <br /> Mr . Weeks indicated that the current review process allowed the Commission <br /> to provide additional inputs , and at this point no formal action was necessary . <br /> It was pointed out that after all public input was received by Public Works , <br /> a final plan would be available for review . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 2 . Policy Concerning the_ SaleofBeer and Wine in Parks -Operational <br /> Pol i car Committee <br /> Mr . Weeks reported that the committee had discussed this matter quite thor- <br /> oughly and that the report gave a good summarization of the committee ' s <br /> feeling . Some question was raised as to what constituted a charitable <br /> organization . Mr . Weeks indicated that prior to this policy ' s implementation <br /> he would seek a definition from the City Attorney . Further discussion <br /> involved the fee schedule for concession permit , the advisability of initiat- <br /> ing a minimum financial guarantee for all events and the necessity for a <br /> cleanup deposit . Mr . Weeks indicated these matters would be resolved in <br /> the application and permit process . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the Operational <br /> Policy Committee report and the recommendation for <br /> the sale of beer and wine , seconded by Commissioner <br /> Rollins . The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 3 . Review of Senior Center Funding - Bills AB1810 ( McCarthy ) , <br /> AB2853 ( Nimmo ) <br /> Mr . Weeks briefly outlined the essentials of AB1810 and indicated to the <br /> Commission that the Department had been informed through Assemblyman Arnett ' s <br /> office that the bill was currently dead in committee and it seemd unlikely <br /> that it would be revived . He stated that AB1810 was pointed more toward <br /> programs than facilities , and that if the bill were ever revived , it would <br /> - 3 - <br />
