Weeks indicated that the Nimmo Bill , AB2853 , was currently being discussed <br /> by the Assembly Committee on Human Resources , and that the bill essentially <br /> was pointed toward establishing enabling legislation to allow cities and counties <br /> to apply for long- range loans through a fund which would be established by <br /> the state for the purpose of constructing senior citizen facilities . Mr . <br /> Weeks then reviewed for the Commission some of the more pertinent elements <br /> and conditions enumerated in the bill . He further stated that it appeared <br /> that the City would qualify for such a loan , and that this would be a viable <br /> source of funding . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to support and recommend <br /> to the Council that they support Assembly Bill 2853 , <br /> seconded by Commissioner Rollins . Motion passed unani - <br /> mously by voice vote . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 4 . Master Site Plans for Hetch - Hetchy Right-of-Way and Canyon <br /> Park - Final Review <br /> Weeks reviewed for the Commission the Master Site Plans for Hetch -Hetchy <br /> Right -of-Way and Canyon Park . Commissioner Schlesinger inquired as to whether <br /> suggestions received during neighborhood meetings had been incorporated into <br /> the Master Site Plans . Mr . Weeks indicated that the more pertinent suggestions <br /> had been incorporated . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the Master <br /> Site Plan for the Hetch -Hetchy Right-of-Way and <br /> recommend to the Council that it be adopted , sec- <br /> onded by Commissioner Rollins . Motion carried unani - <br /> mously by voice vote . <br /> Mr . Weeks further reviewed the Master Site Plans for Canyon Park . Mr . Weeks <br /> reminded the Commission that Canyon Park was the Number One Priority for <br /> consideration in the Capital Improvement Program submitted for 1976 -77 . <br /> The prominent elements of the plan were discussed including the Small Activity <br /> Center which at some future time could be staffed by Recreation Division staff . <br /> A discussion ensued regarding the playground area and how it related to access <br /> to the park , and the possibility of changing the location should access <br /> become a problem . <br /> MOTION : Commissioner Schlesinger moved to accept and recommend <br /> to Council the adoption of the Master Site Plans for <br /> Canyon Park , seconded by Commissioner Rollins . The <br /> motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> ROUND TABLE <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the Commission ' s support for Measure D <br /> on the June ballot . This involves San Mateo County ' s becoming annexed into <br /> the Mid - Peninsula Regional Park District . <br /> -4 - <br />
