MOTION : Commissioner Aldrich moved that the Commission should <br /> support Measure D on the June ballot , seconded by <br /> Commissioner Schlesinger . The motion carried on the <br /> following vote : Ayes - Commissioners Aldrich , Pound , <br /> Schlesinger and Weintraub . Noes - Commissioners <br /> Knecht and Rollins . <br /> Commissioner Rollins expressed concern with respect to the control of dogs <br /> in the City ' s park areas . Mr . Weeks indicated that the presence of dogs in <br /> City parks was prohibited by City ordinance . He said that enforcement of <br /> the ordinance was not the responsibility of the Redwood City Police Department , <br /> but of the Peninsula Humane Society . He further stated that the Society did <br /> not appear to have sufficient staff to adequately cope with the problem . <br /> Commissioner Schlesinger suggested that the Commission take steps to strongly <br /> express their concern to the City Council with respect to this problem . Mr . <br /> Weeks indicated that the matter has been discussed by the Council in the past <br /> and they are interested in taking positive steps to correct the problem . He <br /> indicated this would be a good topic to discuss at the forthcoming joint <br /> Council /Commission meeting . <br /> Chairman Knecht requested the Commissioners to remember to notify Mr . Weeks ' <br /> office in advance of Commission and Committee meeting if they found they <br /> could not attend . <br /> There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned at 7 : 10 P .
