MOTION : Commissioner Aldrich moved , seconded by Commis - sioner Knecht , that nominations be closed and that the slate presented be accepted by unanimous vote . The motion carried by unanimous voice vote . Mr . Weeks inquired as to when the new slate of officers would take effect . It was determined that it would be effective in July . fir . Weeks said he has several matters to bring before the Open Space Committee , and Commissioner Pound said she would like to discuss the status of the Middlefield neighborhood park . Other funding potentials will be discussed . The Open Space Committee meeting was set for Tuesday morning , June 22 , at 9 : 30 a . m . , at the Community Activities Building . ROUND TABLE Commissioner Pound said she understood that the City might have its own dog control personnel and truck . Mr . Weeks said there are studies under- way by the City Manager ' s office and as he understands it , there are two options under consideration : 1 ) to hire a CETA person who can be trained to operate within the city limits using a Humane Society truck , which would relieve the city from having to buy a truck , or 2 ) an auxiliary person could be hired through the Humane Society to supplement their control of Redwood City so that the City would gain better control over animals within the city limits . Mr . Weeks stated there possibly could be other options which may grow out of the study . The nutter will be reported to the Council for further discussion . There being no further business to come before the Commission , the meeting was adjourned at 10 p . m . - 6 -
