Department Reports <br /> MOTION: Commissioner Weintraub moved to accept the <br /> Department Monthly Reports, seconded by Com- <br /> missioner Aldrich. Other Reports <br /> The Commission received copies of report from Administrative Assistant <br /> Ferrando indicating that the City Council had considered the reco�nenda- <br /> tion of the Park and Recreation Comnission regarding the sale of beer <br /> and wine in park areas and buildings. After much deliberation the <br /> Council voted to continue the consideration of this matter and referred <br /> it back to staff. The report indicated that the Council had determined <br /> that a permit fee should be charged to all applicants and that in general <br /> the Council had expressed concern as to the specific administrative guide- <br /> lines that would be necessary to control such sales and had requested that <br /> such guidelines be submitted for review. Additionally, the Council felt <br /> strongly that the Parks and Recreation Department should certify that <br /> applicants had secured other necessary permits before issuing a Concession <br /> Permit for the sale of beer or wine. <br /> - 5 - <br />
