�, <br /> . � �"'W'' <br /> Mezes Park <br /> A contract has been awarded ta D. C. Miley,. Jr. of Burlingame, for Phase II <br /> construction of Mezes Park. A pre-construction meeting has been held with <br /> the contractor and a construction schedule has been determined. The con- <br /> tractor is currently assembling materials and supplies for the job and con- <br /> struction should be underway by the middle of September. <br /> Canyon Park <br /> Negotiatiqns have been completed for the design of Phase I of Canyon Park. <br /> The firm of Singer & Nodges, Landscape Architectural Consultants will be <br /> doing the work. This firm prepared the Master Site Plans for Canyon Park <br /> as well as for the Hetch-Hetchy right-of-way. <br /> The City Council at their meeting of August 16, 1976, approved a contract <br /> with Singer & Hodge:s for the preparation of plans and specifications for <br /> the first phase of construction at Canyon Park. lJork on the .drawings is <br /> now under way. <br /> Senior Center Architectural Studies <br /> The architectura:l consultant, Kinsford Jones, is now preparing the final <br /> report of the architectural studies being prepared for the proposed senior <br /> center. The Senior Center Study Committee met August llth to review the <br /> final recommendations regarding the various concepts for the center. <br /> It was the concensus of�the consultant, the committee and the staff that <br /> a joint meeting with the comnittee, Parks & Recreation Corr�nission and the <br /> City Council would be the most effective and expeditious way to receive the <br /> presentation from the consultant and the final report so that total discus- <br /> sion and input could be received at one time for all concerned. The staff <br /> was requested to proceed with this plan in the hopes that a' joint meeting <br /> could be arranged possibly the early part of October. <br /> -8- <br />
