I = <br /> CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> April 1 , 1976 Page 2 <br /> AGENDA ITEM 3 - Library Mural : Mrs . Kennedy said she had not <br /> heard from Mr . Heidsiek . Mrs . Poncia will contact him about <br /> this project . <br /> AGENDA ITEM 4 - Second Edition of "Historic Landmarks Element <br /> of the General Plan : <br /> Mrs . Poncia said the Planning Commission will hold a public <br /> hearing in the near future . She distributed copies of the <br /> Second Draft of the Historical Element for perusal by the <br /> Commission members and asked them to read and offer any sug - <br /> gestions they might have . <br /> REPORTS : <br /> 1 . " City Spirit " : Mrs . Poncia said the various cities <br /> presented the activities taking place in their cities . <br /> Mr . Nemoyten mentioned that the Arts Council would <br /> like to have a movable stage and suggested that <br /> several cities might join together to produce such <br /> a stage . <br /> Mrs . Hartman said she had been invited by Mrs . Kueffer <br /> to attend a " City Spirit " seminar on Saturday , April 3 . <br /> A tour of the Twin Pines Park in Belmont will be fea- <br /> tured , <br /> OTHER : <br /> 1 . Mr . Weeks introduced Mrs . Patricia Mosher and Miss Cheryl <br /> Stout, who reported on the proposed murals for the Rec <br /> Center . They will be entitled " Reflections of Recre- <br /> ation in America - 1900 - 2000 . " She said the schools <br /> have been very cooperative . They expect to have a <br /> review of sketches on Thursday , April 22 . Several <br /> Commissioners will assist in the selection of sketches <br /> to be used . <br /> 2 . Mrs . Kennedy reported that the Bicentennial Committee <br /> is planning a fire plug painting contest . First prize <br /> will be $ 25 and a trophy . The Committee also plans to <br /> make an award for the best Redwood City Bicentennial <br /> project of any kind . <br /> 3 . It was decided that the Commission will actively pursue <br /> the downtown sculpture- fountain project after the Arts <br /> and Crafts Show . <br />
