I = CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Meeting April 1 , 1976 Page 2 AGENDA ITEM 3 - Library Mural : Mrs . Kennedy said she had not heard from Mr . Heidsiek . Mrs . Poncia will contact him about this project . AGENDA ITEM 4 - Second Edition of "Historic Landmarks Element of the General Plan : Mrs . Poncia said the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the near future . She distributed copies of the Second Draft of the Historical Element for perusal by the Commission members and asked them to read and offer any sug - gestions they might have . REPORTS : 1 . " City Spirit " : Mrs . Poncia said the various cities presented the activities taking place in their cities . Mr . Nemoyten mentioned that the Arts Council would like to have a movable stage and suggested that several cities might join together to produce such a stage . Mrs . Hartman said she had been invited by Mrs . Kueffer to attend a " City Spirit " seminar on Saturday , April 3 . A tour of the Twin Pines Park in Belmont will be fea- tured , OTHER : 1 . Mr . Weeks introduced Mrs . Patricia Mosher and Miss Cheryl Stout, who reported on the proposed murals for the Rec Center . They will be entitled " Reflections of Recre- ation in America - 1900 - 2000 . " She said the schools have been very cooperative . They expect to have a review of sketches on Thursday , April 22 . Several Commissioners will assist in the selection of sketches to be used . 2 . Mrs . Kennedy reported that the Bicentennial Committee is planning a fire plug painting contest . First prize will be $ 25 and a trophy . The Committee also plans to make an award for the best Redwood City Bicentennial project of any kind . 3 . It was decided that the Commission will actively pursue the downtown sculpture- fountain project after the Arts and Crafts Show .
