Chairman Keckley announced fiat Tony Gonzales had submitted his resignation <br /> from the Housing Concerns Committee . He said he was sad about it and that the <br /> HCC would miss Tony very much , if indeed the resignation was accepted . <br /> Mary Henderson said she had talked to him and asked him to reconsider but that <br /> he had brought in the resignation the previous afternoon anyway . <br /> Gene Moriguchi said that Tony tended to represent chicanos and that chicanos <br /> should replace him . Mary Henderson said that the Mexican-American Unity <br /> Council and some of the more active Spanish- speaking groups could be asked for <br /> suggestions . Lou Knowles suggested that the Neighborhood Council might be <br /> asked to recommend a replacement . <br /> Gene Moriguchi suggested that the I1CC make some sort of statement to the press <br /> concerning the MCFH findings . Paul Keckley said that he was " shocked but not <br /> surprised" at the findings . Mary Henderson said that the findings might <br /> surprise the community but not the committee .
