TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN 7.2.A. - Page 8 <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY FIRE IAFF LOCAL 2400 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> Effective the first full pay period followingdate of Council approval of this successor <br /> MOU, the salary schedule for all classifications represented by IAFF will be increased by <br /> two percent (2 %). <br /> Year 3: Effective the first pay period beginning on or after January 1, 2016, each Tier <br /> One (3 % @50) and Tier Two (3 % @55) unit member shall have deducted from their <br /> compensation an additional two percent (2 %) as cost sharing in accordance with <br /> Section 20516(a) of the California Government Code, to pay for a portion of the City's <br /> required contribution to Ca1PERS, for a total of four percent (4 %) employee cost sharing <br /> of the City's required contribution to Ca1PERS under Section 20516(f) of the California <br /> Government Code and two percent (2 %) employee cost sharing of the City's required <br /> contribution to CaIPERS under Section 20516(a) of the California Government Code (6% <br /> total cost share). New members, as defined by Government Code section 7522.04(f), <br /> part of the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 ( "PEPRA ") shalI <br /> not be subject to any cost sharing obligations under Government Code section 20516(a). <br /> Effective the first pay period beginning on or after January 1, 2017, the salary schedule <br /> for all classifications represented by IAFF will be increased by one percent (1 %). <br /> If, upon the expiration of the 2014 MOU between the City and IAFF, Redwood City police <br /> officers represented by the Redwood City Police Officers' Association (POA) and police <br /> sergeants represented by the Redwood City Police Supervisors' Association (PSA) pay <br /> less than seven percent (7%) toward the employer cost of pension, the cost share for <br /> employees in this unit will be reduced to the amount of cost share applicable to the POA <br /> and PSA, and the employee's base salary that was provided in exchange for the cost <br /> share will be reduced by an equal amount of the cost share reduction. <br /> If, at any time, the Association withdraws agreement to contribute a pension <br /> contribution of seven percent (7 %) to the employer's contribution to pension, <br /> employee's base salary will be reduced by an equal amount. <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
