Working papers or memoranda which are not retained in the ordinary course of <br /> business or any records where the public interest served by not making the records <br /> available clearly outweighs the public interest served by disclosure of the records; <br /> 3. Records pertaining to pending litigations to which the City is a party, or to claims or <br /> appeals which have not been settled; or <br /> 4. Requiring the City to do research for an inquirer or to do programming or assemble <br /> data in a manner other than that usually done by the agency. <br /> 7.2.2 Salary Increase on Promotion to Fire Captain <br /> A Fire Fighter /Engineer who is receiving paramedic pay is eligible for a promotional <br /> adjustment to the whole salary step that ensures at least a 5% increase above the highest <br /> classification they are to supervise, even if that places him /her between salary steps. <br /> 7.3 Work Schedule (2/41 <br /> (1) Contingent on Fire Chief's acceptance of the Association's plan. and subject to <br /> agreement with the Chief Officers' Association. between March 9, 2015 - December 31, <br /> 2016, shift employees will be placed on a 2/4 work schedule on a pilot basis. The pilot <br /> schedule will expire on December 31, 2016 and be discontinued. In August 2016, the parties <br /> will evaluate the 2/4 work schedule. The 2/4 work schedule will continue after December <br /> 31, 2016 by mutual agreement only. MOU language will be amended to avoid undue costs <br /> during the pilot period. <br /> (2) In the event of an employee absence, to avoid putting an apparatus out of service, the <br /> Department may temporarily reduce staffing to three (3) people per apparatus while relief <br /> staff is being hired. <br /> 7.6 Paramedic Pay <br /> The Ci Council sets colic re!ardin= im.lementation of paramedic service for the Cit_of <br /> Redwood Cit . This a reement is not intended to undermine the Ci Council's policy <br /> authority. However. the City will, upon request, meet with the IAFF to discuss modifications <br /> related to any of the paramedic programs. <br /> 1) Paramedic Premium Pay for paramedics - 10% of Base Pay effective upon date of <br /> hire or effective the first payroll period following submittal of qualifying paperwork <br /> and approval of Fire Chief <br /> 2) Except when promoted to Fire Captain, separated from employment or otherwise <br /> disqualified, hired Paramedics shall remain certified for a minimum of four 4 ears <br /> from the date of hire, and department- trained Paramedics shall maintain Paramedic <br /> Certification for four (4) years from the date of certification. <br /> Page 12 of 12 <br />
