7.2.A. - Page 17 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY FIRE IAFF LOCAL 2400 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> 3) Captains shall not be permitted to occupy an approved Paramedic position or to <br /> attend training to become paramedic certified under this program. Personnel <br /> promoted to Captain will no longer receive Paramedic premium pay. <br /> 4}4) Paramedic Assistance Pay for all other Fire Fighter /Engineers including Fire <br /> Captains: 2.5% of Base Pay effective the first payroll period following assignment <br /> to suppression (56 -hour schedule). <br /> 2) 5) FF /P's receiving Paramedic Pay will also receive 2% Paramedic Assistance Pay <br /> effective December 20, 2010. - - • .. , • .. • ! . .. e, e ! • <br /> - - • - sistance Pay effective the first payroll period following <br /> -3}6) Paramedic Pay will be added to base pay, regardless of position on apparatus or if <br /> on scheduled or non- scheduled hours. <br /> 4}7) Paramedic Pay will only be paid to FF /P's functioning in department approved <br /> Paramedic positions. <br /> 4)8) FF /P's will maintain Paramedic Pay when acting in higher classification. <br /> 6}9) A training allowance of $10,000 will be provided, in lieu of overtime pay while <br /> attending off duty training for those Fire Fighter /Engineers attending the paramedic <br /> training program approved by the City. This $10,000 Training Allowance will be <br /> provided as follows: $2,500 upon acceptance into the Training Program as <br /> determined by examination and seniority; $2,500 upon successful completion of the <br /> didactic training; $2,500 upon successful completion of clinical training; $2,500 <br /> upon receipt of Paramedic Certification by the State of California and the County of <br /> San Mateo. Participation in the paramedic training program is subject to the Fire <br /> Chiefs approval. <br /> x}10) If an employee voluntarily withdraws from any portion of the Paramedic <br /> Training Program, the employee shall refund to the City the most recent $2,500 <br /> received.
