7.2.A. - Page 21 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY FIRE IAFF LOCAL 2400 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> 10. Christmas Eve <br /> 119. Christmas Day <br /> 12. New Year's Eve <br /> holidays. <br /> The above - listed holidays shall he paid holiday time off for employees assigned to a forty- <br /> hour work schedule, unless otherwise specified in this MOU. <br /> 83 Holiday Compensation for Fire Fighter /Engineer and Fire Captain <br /> Each employee in the classifications of Fire Fighter /Engineer and Fire Captain assigned to a <br /> twenty -four (24) hour duty schedule shall be exempt from the provisions of Sections 8.1, <br /> 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4 above, and shall receive no additional compensation in the form of pay or <br /> time off in the event the employee is required to work on any of the days set forth in Section <br /> 8.1. <br /> Fire Fighter /Engineers and Fire Captains who arc in a no pay status (e.g. on leave of <br /> In lieu of any holiday benefits, each employee shall receive compensation in the following <br /> eramount: <br /> the forty (10) hour rate in each calendar year. For 2010 and 2011, the City will proccs <br /> r . <br /> holiday checks will be issued separately from the normal pay period check.;. <br /> that one or both of the administrative holidays have alr ady been used for calendar y ar <br /> paragraph above. Authorization forms will be provided for those employees who choose to <br /> noted in the paragraph directly preceding this one. <br /> A. Forty -eight (48) hours of pay at the forty (40) hour rate of pay. The City will <br /> endeavor to make payment on the first non - payroll Friday in January of the <br /> respective year: however, the payment will be made no later than the first pay <br /> period in February. This is in recognition of the elimination of two administrative <br /> holidays and addition of Christmas Eve and New Years' Eve to the list of City <br /> recognized holidays: and <br /> Page 17 of 17 <br />
