Christmas Day <br /> 12. New Year's Eve <br /> holidays. <br /> The above - listed holidays shall he paid holiday time off for employees assigned to a forty- <br /> hour work schedule, unless otherwise specified in this MOU. <br /> 83 Holiday Compensation for Fire Fighter /Engineer and Fire Captain <br /> Each employee in the classifications of Fire Fighter /Engineer and Fire Captain assigned to a <br /> twenty -four (24) hour duty schedule shall be exempt from the provisions of Sections 8.1, <br /> 8.2, 8.3 and 8.4 above, and shall receive no additional compensation in the form of pay or <br /> time off in the event the employee is required to work on any of the days set forth in Section <br /> 8.1. <br /> Fire Fighter /Engineers and Fire Captains who arc in a no pay status (e.g. on leave of <br /> In lieu of any holiday benefits, each employee shall receive compensation in the following <br /> eramount: <br /> the forty (10) hour rate in each calendar year.
