Petition from businessmen in the 2600 block of Broadway requesting removal of that block from the Downtown Business Improvement District City Attorney Schricker described the circumstances with regard to the subject request, noting that the District involved is a special levy type district having to do with promotional activities and is not related to the improvements under construction in the 2600 block on Broadway. MOTION: Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Williams, to refer the matter to staff. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-96) 4. Letter from Pedali Alpini requesting permission to conduct a bicycle race in the City of Redwood City on May 26, 1975 MOTION: Councilman Williams moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, that the City Manager be authorized to issue a letter permit to include the usual terms and conditions as set forth in previous years in order to allow Pedali Alpini to conduct the requested race . Attention was called to the compliments from Pedali Alpini regarding the cooperation and assistance of the City staff in making the race a success in the past, and it was noted that the club conducts a well handled event.
