Mr. Pusich commented and replied to questions
concerning the desirability of each alternate with re-
gard to economics and general visibility; the anticipated
development of all required water tanks; the probable
locations of the needed tanks and the alternatives
available; and the land to be available for parks and
open space in each alternate.
Mr. Fales commented and replied to questions concerning
the status of the City' s application to the Army Corps
Engineers for a permit to construct a water tank at
the Spar Drive site.
Mr. Fales also advised that the design and landscaping
of the proposed water tank will come before the Council
for decision later, observing that it is presumed that
Council has assumed jurisdiction in the matter because
of previous Council action. Mr. Shank
now expressed reservations about that alternate and in-
quired regarding placement of berms and landscaping in
each design. Mr. Pusich again referred to the slides of
each alternate and explained the placement of berms as
shown in the rough drawing of each site, and the de-
sirability of providing sight lines which will tend to
minimize the view of the water tank.
Discussion continued concerning the use of the area sur-
rounding the water tank as park and open space land; the
need for adequate fencing to discourage vandalism;
whether an alternate should be selected because of
-3-
'` Re-.Mtg.
1, 7/75
