Mr. Warren
stated that as the developer, Mobil had previously
favored the depressed water tank for aesthetic reasons,
but that changes in the proposed location of the tank
now cause them to favor construction of the tank at
o . grade with heavy landscaping, as preservation of a view
is no longer a consideration.
' The motion failed on the following tie roll call vote :
Ayes : Councilmen Henderson, Rhodes
Noes : Councilman Barrett and Vice Mayor Williams
Vice Mayor Williams requested that in view of the absence
of three members of Council that the matter of selection
of an alternate with regard to construction of the water
tank be continued until the next regular Council meeting
on February 3, 1975. (Memo 1/28/75)
Report re bid - Intercom Communication
System - Fire Department
City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 23,
1975 regarding the subject intercom system, observing
that the one bid received was higher than the amount
budgeted for the project.
MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Rhodes in-
! ." troduced the following resolution and moved, seconded
by Councilman Barrett, its adoption:
Irr
RESOLUTION NO. 7350 REJECTING BID RECEIVED FOR THE
FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF AN INTERCOM COMMUNI-
CATION SYSTEM; DIRECTING THE RETURN OF SECURITY
DEPOSIT; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR
NEW BIDS THEREFOR
The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote.
-4-
Reg.Mtg.
1/27/75
