Recreation Director Weeks offered to reply to <br /> questions' and advised that Philip Singer, the landscape' <br /> architect', is present for the same purpose . <br /> In reply to Council request, Mr. Fales advised' that in <br /> the future when detailed copies of plans are to be <br /> placed in' the Council Study for Council review,, he will <br /> attempt to place them there and advise Council at least <br /> a week in' advance of presentation of the plans to Council. <br /> Further, he advised that the Clerk will make note of such' <br /> forthcoming items on the current Agenda. <br /> (Memo' 6/24'/75) <br /> MOTION : Councilman Barrett moved, seconde& by' Council- <br /> man Williams, to approve the Master Site Plan' for' Palm' <br /> Park as transmitted' by the City Manager ' s report of <br /> June 19,, 1975. <br /> Discussion followed and Mr. Fates and' Mr. Weeks replied <br /> to questions concerning the need for sturdy picnic tables' <br /> and benches in view of the hard use they will receive ;, <br /> the desirability that some information be' includ'edi in, <br /> the Park and Recreation Commission report regarding <br /> their reasons for selecting certain park furniture',' the <br /> fact that the kind of information desired' by Council with <br /> regard to recommendations of the Commission would be' a <br /> likely subject for consideration at the joint meeting, <br /> with the Commission on August 11, 1975; and the diffi- <br /> culties encountered by' staff and` the Commission' in <br /> attempting to, obtain some kind of response from citizens <br /> with regard to their wishes in developing parks at the <br /> time the development is planned'. <br /> In response to question, Mr. Weeks advised that 400 in- <br /> quiry cards were sent to residents of the Palm Park <br /> neighborhood' and only 12 were returned . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote ,. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER' NO. 75-122) <br /> (The Council recessed from 10 :35 to 10 :46 p.m. ) <br /> Request of Councilman Norris re PF <br /> (Public Facility) Zoning District <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of June 19, 1975 <br /> transmitting the subject request of Councilman Norris. <br /> MOTION•: Councilman Leipzig moved, seconded by Council- <br /> man Barrett, to submit the request of Councilman Norris <br /> regarding a public facility zoning district to the Plan- <br /> ning Commission. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-123) <br /> -7- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 6/23/75 <br />
