9 ii <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7456 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> ISSUANCE OF REVOCABLE PERMIT RELATING TO PERIODIC <br /> STREET CLOSURES ` <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 20. 97.1-8 TO ARTICLE VII <br /> OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL <br /> ROAD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> II <br /> The resolution was adopted and the ordinance approved <br /> unanimously by roll call vote, Councilman Leipzig <br /> abstaining. <br /> Award of bid - replacement trucks (five) <br /> Assistant City Manager Smith referred to the Manager' s <br /> report of July 31, 1975 regarding the subject award of <br /> bid . <br /> In response to question, Mr. Smith advised that while the <br /> low bid is some $500.00 more than the original bid re- <br /> ceived and rejected, the engine size and the tire speci- <br /> fications had been increased . <br /> In further response to Council question, Mr. Smith ad- <br /> vised that the total cost of the replacement trucks <br /> might have been either higher or lower if the City had <br /> simply purchased the two less expensive trucks and gone <br /> to bid only on the three larger trucks, observing that <br /> it is desirable to have them all serviced at the same <br /> place . <br /> MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Williams in- <br /> troduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by <br /> Councilman Leipzig, its adoption : <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7457 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br /> FURNISHING OF FIVE TRUCKS; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> Rejection of bid; call for bids - <br /> striping machine <br /> Assistant City Manager Smith referred to the Manager ' s <br /> report of August 1, 1975 regarding the subject rejection <br /> of bid and attaching report of the Director of Public <br /> Works dated July 31 reviewing the matter. <br /> MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Norris intro- <br /> duced the following resolution and moved, seconded by <br /> Councilman Rhodes, its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7458 REJECTING BID RECEIVED FOR FUR- ' <br /> NISHING ONE HEATED AIRLESS STRIPING MACHINE AND <br /> SEQUENCING CHEVRON SIGN BOARD, ORDERING RETURN OF <br /> BID SECURITY SUBMITTED THEREWITH; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> NEW CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> -3- <br /> 8/4/75g <br />
